Monet's Weeping Willow (1919)

Intertwined

In the cool of the night
I lay in my bed
my fingers laced behind my head...

thinking of you
and the things that you do
that make me so damn glad

the way you whisper my name
and add yours to mine
thrills me to the core

the wedding march song
you tease me with
only makes me want you more

the lilt in your voice
your accent so defined
makes an incredible song when combined

the gifts that you give me
are my biggest treasures.
trust, honesty and commitment
beyond normal measures...

you laugh with me, you cry with me,
your love so encompassing
like the willow tree

birds of a feather
our souls intertwined
we'll grow old together
our love enshrined
