Rules for joining our list. These apply to everyone.

First and foremost, your website must be family friendly! This means it must have NO adult content nor can it link to anywhere that has adult content. And.. NO Commercial sites are allowed either so if you make a living off your site, it's a no go. We are not here to provide advertising for services or provide sales. (Things like affiliates [amazon, etc] are fine) If you have a website full of information and as a secondary note do provide the service of making websites for others as a secondary thing (not what you make your living by by any means) then we will allow you to join. But, if this is what your site is all or mostly about, sorry, you will be denied.

All applying sites are put in a que to be checked out before they are officially joined. If they don't meet the criteria above, don't expect to be added.

If you move your website, or banner, or change your email you must update your information. If we start getting inactive or 404 errors for your site, you will be removed. If you have moved your site and have a redirect page, we expect you to change your information to reflect the new url, not your redirect page. The same thing goes for bouncing emails. Keep your information current and up to date, it's easily enough done.

Needless to say, you must have our banner (it's small) on your site somewhere at all times. Btw, you may put it on as many pages on your website as you like. You use the one below. It must be saved to your own directory and uploaded there. Do not pull off my bandwidth by linking it here. You will be removed if you are found doing that.

"Perks" to joining this list.

Yes, there are a couple. Possible more viewing of your website for one.

Plus.. we offer a perk no one else does. These days free servers (geocities/tripod and the like) are not allowing banners and such being put elsewhere and drawing off their bandwidth. IF you join our webmaster group (and you must be an active member, not just someone who 'sits' on the group) we offer the service of having your banner put on my server so you can add a banner to your listing with our top 100 list.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* Due to the fact that this will draw bandwidth off my own server which I pay for, some restrictions do apply to this special service.

1) Your banner can be no more than 15 k in size.

2) It must be a banner ONLY for use with our top 100 list. In other words, don't even think about putting the banner anywhere else on the net linking it to my server. I will track it and I will remove it in a moment's notice and you will be banned from the list and group with notice as to why! I am giving permission for only ONE link, and one link only per person, and only to our list. I will also report you for theft of bandwidth without hesitation as well. Sorry to be so grumpy and strict about this issue but.. 'the buck stops here'. And when it's my buck.. I'm picky about it. lol

We do have some restrictions on banner size as well but many sizes can be used. The sizes we will accept are listed when you join. We do this so there are no huge banners for some and little ones for others. This keeps it just a little fairer for everyone and more consistant.

Please note.. there are NO exceptions to any of these rules. I reserve the right to deny any site from joining our list, or removing it at any time I feel it has become unsuitable, without notice. If you can't understand why your site was removed or denied, simply email me at webmaster@iwant.on.ca" with 'top 100' in the subject line.

These rules may change with time if we feel they need adjusting. We will see as we go along or if any problems occur. If such a change should ever take place, everyone on the list will be notified of any changes.
